Early Years SENCo Award | Train the Trainer

Our successful Early Years SENCo Award has proven to inspire SENCo’s from across the PVI sector. The course offers Early Years Practitioners both theoretical and practical support in their role as coordinator of SEND (special educational needs and disabilities).

''Having observed the positive impact that the Liverpool Early Years SENCo Award has had on practitioners' confidence, skills and ability to deliver high-quality provision, I am delighted to be sharing this opportunity more widely with EYFS colleagues nationally''.

Train-the-Trainer

SIL is pleased to offer an exciting training opportunity for Local Authority advisors or consultants wanting to train to deliver accredited Level 3 Early Years SENCo Award training.

Early Years SEND expertise remains a high priority across the UK. The DfE SEND and Alternative Provision Improvement Plan: Right Support, Right Place, Right Time (2023) maintains that: “reform is not possible without a strong and capable workforce with robust leadership”

This training includes four days of face-to-face training on how to effectively deliver Early Years SENCo Award back within their own Local Authority. As part of the four days delegates will explore the Early Years SENCo Award course materials and content.

Delegates will also have the opportunity to consider how this course can be adapted to meet the individual Local Authority context.

Each delegate will receive a training licence for 2 years and access to high quality electronic training materials. They will also be supported SIL officers, and will receive a quality assurance visit during one of their planned training sessions.

For more information please contact: [email protected] or visit our training pages.

Our next cohort starts on Monday 18 September 2023.
