Universal Offer

The School Improvement Liverpool Universal Offer is available to all Liverpool maintained schools and Recoupment Academies, however schools outside Liverpool can also purchase packages of support. Please get in touch with [email protected] for details.

 

Many of our training courses, leadership briefings and network meetings offer one free place to schools as part of the Universal Offer. This is detailed in our training brochures and on each training page on our website.

 

The offer also includes a School Improvement Partner package and bespoke in-school support, as well as e-mail and telephone support.

 

Primary Universal Offer

Our Primary Universal offer is available to all Liverpool maintained schools and Recoupment Academies as part of the schools Forum Funding Agreement. Many of our training courses and leadership briefings offer one free place to universal schools (unless otherwise stated).

 

*The SIL primary team has access to a wealth of data which they access regularly to support schools. Advice is offered on ‘Analyse School Performance’ and The Inspection Dashboard Summary Report. Training is available to school leaders and governors through centrally held training and through bespoke in school sessions. The team use KS1 and KS2 outcomes to inform the local picture. National data and how Liverpool performs against other areas is analysed using LAIT (local authority interactive tool) and statistical first releases.

 

The primary learning team universal offer includes:
 

  • Headteacher briefings
  • Consultancy support for teaching and Learning: two days
  • Additional consultancy support for English, maths: two days
  • Additional consultancy support for foundation subjects: 0.5 days
  • Membership of Subject Leader briefings (English, maths, foundation subjects)
  • E-mail and telephone support
  • Access to commissioned projects and CPD
  • Subject networkmeetings
  • Statutory provision - NQT administration and quality assurance

Secondary Universal Offer

Our Secondary Universal offer is available to Liverpool maintained Schools and Recoupment Academies as part of the Schools Forum Funding Agreement. 

 

The package of support includes, but is not limited to:

  • School Improvement Partner: five days
  • Current national and local information and updates
  • Ofsted rapid response support
  • Consultancy support for leadership teams: two days
  • Additional consultancy support for post 16, curriculum, English, maths and science: seven days
  • External validation of Headteacher appraisal process
  • In school reviews: whole school, departmental or themed review (One review per year)
  • Membership of Core Subject Networks (English, maths, science, modern foreign languages, history and geography) for subject leaders
  • E-mail and telephone support
  • Support for competency observations
  • Timely and high quality data
  • Access to commissioned projects and CPD
  • A half day or twilight in school CPD session
  • Support for Headteacher recruitment process
  • Subject networks on Business Studies, Computer Science, RE, Art and Design & Technology
  • Inclusion and SEN Support
  • ICT/E – Safety
  • Governor support
  • Statutory provision:

    - NQT administration and quality assurance
    - Safeguarding
    - Outdoor visits
    - Radiation protection

Cross-phase support

Safeguarding

For schools entitled to the Universal Offer (or if they have purhacsed the Safeguarding SLA),  settings can receive training, advice, guidance, model policies and practical support on safeguarding, to ensure children are kept safe and schools meet their statutory responsibilities.This includes a number of training sessions per year: Training for those new to the statutory role of Designated Safeguarding Lead or Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (two places per year), Statutory Refresher Training for Designated Safeguarding Leads or Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads (two places per year), Annual safeguarding briefings for Headteachers, (one place per year).

 

SEND & Inclusive Learning

As part of the Universal Offer, Liverpool schools receive training, advice, guidance, model policies and practical support to ensure schools meet their statutory responsibilities in respect of SEND and continue to develop inclusive practices and outcomes for all children. Training includes; New to the Role of SENCO, SEND Transition Event and SEND Briefings.
