The total number school days should total 195 with 5 of these days being allocated by individual schools for INSET.
Following discussions at Head teacher Association meetings, Liverpool term dates for 2016/17 and 2017/18 have now been set. The consensus is that schools welcome a co-ordinated approach to term dates across the City.
Term dates for 2016/17 and 2017/18 move away from the standardised school year, which has been followed over recent years, and work to accommodate a more traditional Easter Break.
These term dates have been shared with Trade Union colleagues and the City’s Payroll department. Clear term dates are required to make accurate calculations for sick pay and it is important to note that Payroll will apply these agreed dates for this purpose.
Please note these term dates are the only dates that will be used by the City Council’s Payroll department for calculating all relevant sick pay. Failure to adhere to these dates will have a direct impact on relevant pay calculations for staff.
