Our School Improvement Partners provide support and challenge to schools whilst also providing flexible and tailored support agreed with school leaders focused on school improvement.
Your SIP will work with you to agree the current priorities for improvement, assist you in identifying areas of strength to be celebrated and identifying areas for further improvement.
All Liverpool Schools are entitled to a SIP partners with support agreed as part of the Liverpool School Improvement framework.

This offer provides an external adviser to fulfil the statutory requirements of the Headteacher Appraisal process to support Governors through the process.
Governors are provided with an appraisal handbook, pay advice and are supported to ensure the process is robust and meets the needs of the school.
Our new headteacher induction programme has been designed to ensure those new to role (or the city) quickly become familiar with partnership arrangements, school services, support structures, procedures, key contacts and personnel within Liverpool Authority.
New headteachers will receive a full package of support to help develop leadership skills and build a network of cross-phase support that will enable you to transition into your role effectively in your first year of headship.

SIPs provide support and challenge to Liverpool schools through the School Improvement Framework and statutory intervention through the 'Team around the School' approach.
The agreed agenda for improving the school provides a focus for visits and reports and includes school improvement visits, support for leaders including governance and training.
