We are now recruiting EYFS specialist to look after the social & educational development of babies and young children up to the age of five years old.
Our Early Years Practitioner are required to hold at least a minimum Level 2 qualification or equivalent in education or childcare. Examples include (but are not restricted to) NNEB, NVQ, Cache or degree. Practitioners must have a secure knowledge of the requirements within the Statutory Framework for the EYFS, including safeguarding and welfare requirements.
An Early Years Practitioner's roles and responsibilities include a wide range of duties. These may include:
- Making sure children are safe and reporting any concerns.
- Promoting the health and wellbeing of children.
- Supporting children’s personal care, including ​feeding, and changing young children.
- Supporting communication and language development.
- Helping children’s development across all 7 areas of learning.
- Contributing to providing a safe environment that enables progress and development of all children.
- Supporting the implementation of the setting’s curriculum.
- Encouraging physical activities to keep children active.
- Observe children's progress and keep records to share with parents
- Supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities to access the setting’s curriculum.
- To contribute to inclusive practice at the setting.
What to expect:
Working hours vary, but you would expect to usually work between 08:30 and 16.00 in most settings. Tasks will vary depending on the nursery/school and position.

All our supply staff are required to hold or apply for an Enhanced DBS certificate which is registered on the DBS update service. If you do not hold a certificate, as School Improvement Liverpool is an umbrella company for the DBS, we can assist you in your application at the cost.
