Safeguarding Key Resources

View our brand new website, the 'Safeguarding Resource Hub' here.

Our Safeguarding Team offers a wealth of resources to Liverpool maintained schools and schools that have the Safeguarding SLA.

Schools can download our Schools’ Safeguarding Handbook here.

In addition, schools are reminded that they can find an abundance of resources on the CD from the Safeguarding Briefings or New to the Role of Designated Safeguarding Lead.

The School’s Safeguarding Handbook includes as examples:
  • a model child protection policy
  • key resources to share with staff and volunteers
  • a safeguarding leaflet for visitors
  • a code of conduct for staff and volunteers
  • guidance for Designated Safeguarding Leads to support their decision making including when making referrals and attending meetings/conferences
  • learning from serious case reviews
  • an Ofsted checklist
  • a single central record template
  • a safer recruitment checklist for personnel files
  • safer recruitment policy and procedures
  • managing allegations against staff procedures
  • key contacts
