Elective Home Education (EHE)

Elective home education (also called home-schooling) refers to the circumstance in which a parent decides to provide education for their child at home rather than sending them to school.

The Elective Home Education Team offer support to families who choose to home educate their children.

We aim to offer advice and support to parents in what is required in providing a suitable education for their children.

Our support includes:

  • Maintaining a record of notified EHE pupils.
  • Providing an initial phase of support and to ascertain provision being made.
  • Annual monitoring of known cases.
  • Liaison with School Health and support

The Elective Home Education Team can be contacted at [email protected] contact or on 0151 233 3916

Advice and guidance regarding elective home education is available to all Liverpool schools.
