Designated Safeguarding Leads, Deputy Designated Leads and those who provide cover for the role

Course Information

It is a statutory requirement that the Designated Safeguarding Lead must refresh their training at least every two years but must also keep updated regularly and at least annually.

Those deputising for the Designated Safeguarding Lead or providing cover for the role should undertake the same training as the Designated Safeguarding Lead. These half day training sessions provide opportunity for Designated Safeguarding Leads and those providing cover for the role to keep abreast of local and national guidance. It is a requirement that the delegate has attended the New to the Role of Designated Safeguarding Lead Training, at some point, before attending refresher training.

This training is unavailable to settings who are not part of the universal offer or do not have an SLA.

Cost: Two places are free annually to all Liverpool Schools who receive the universal offer and to schools that have a safeguarding service level agreement. Additional places can be purchased at £100 each if a school is part of the universal offer or has an SLA.

All costs are subject to VAT

Registration will begin at 8.30am and the training will start promptly at 9.00
