Free visits to the Merseyside EcoCentre

Liverpool City Council are working in partnership with the Eco Centre in Southport to help educate children and young people on the impact air pollution has on health.

 

Poor air quality affects the health of young people and the vulnerable disproportionately. Children and young people are more vulnerable to air pollution than adults because their brains, lungs and other organs are still developing. Poor air quality can lead to asthma, reduced lung function, respiratory infections and allergies in children and young people.

 

All primary schools in Liverpool can now sign up for free, bespoke educational resources on the Clean Air Crew website. You and your pupils can access videos, games and other learning material by signing up to the website.

 

A number of free educational visits to the EcoCentre in Southport are also available for KS2 students to learn about air pollution and climate change and to enjoy the immersive room interactive experience. To access the visits, you must first be signed up for the online resource - as the two work side by side.
