Early Help Recognition Award

Supporting families through early help

Article dated: 06/10/2023

Congratulations to our colleague Janette Coleman on receiving an Early Help Recognition Award.

Janette is part of the SIL Education Welfare team - who work to support schools, children, and families solve issues affecting school attendance.

Early Help Practice Manager, Nicky Walsh said “Janette understands the Level of Need framework and has been instrumental in supporting families under EHAT’s level of need 2.

Janette has not only responded where children’s attendance has been a concern, but she has also recognised a variety of other support needs such as parental mental health, children’s mental health, domestic violence and children with SEND and has been able to effectively coordinate multi agency support for families through early help.

Janette communicates regularly well with the EHAT support team and isn’t afraid to contact for additional advice and guidance when needed”

The Early Help Recognition Awards shine a light on those who have shown passion and commitment to supporting families through early help.

Janette will receive her award at the Early Help Practitioner event next week.

Well done and congratulations to all the winners!
