About the School
Harmonize Academy is an Outstanding Alternative Education School for students in Years 9 – 11. We have a Christian ethos based on our values of trust, respect, compassion and forgiveness which permeate every aspect of school life. Our aim is to provide every student with a Vision for Life through a personalised curriculum enabling them to fulfil their potential in education, life and employment. We opened in April 2013 as one of the first Alternative Provision Free Schools in the country and in March 2015 we were rated an Outstanding School by Ofsted. We are delighted that Harmonize Academy continues to be an outstanding school following an Ofsted visit on 14th and 15th January 2020. About the Role
Under the strategic leadership of the Principal, the school business manager (SBM) is responsible for managing the strategy and operation of the business functions of our school, including financial management, health and safety, human resources, compliance and administration. They will advise on and implement the day-to-day support that enables the school to operate effectively and efficiently, and that allows other members of the leadership team to focus on teaching and learning.

Personal Qualities
In choosing the School Business Manager we will be looking for a dynamic, experienced and qualified Manager of Finance and Resources for an Outstanding Alternative Provision Free School. All Academy Staff are expected to support and contribute to the school’s commitment and responsibility for safeguarding all students. All appointments are subject to enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service checks and excellent references.
