Annual Headteachers’ Safeguarding Briefings

Target Audience

Headteachers, School Leaders, Chairs of Governors and Safeguarding Governors

Course Information

These three hour sessions ensure that headteachers, school leaders, chairs of governors and safeguarding governors are briefed about their statutory safeguarding responsibilities, preparing for an Ofsted, inspection, key changes to local and national guidance and how best to quality assure safeguarding and child protection practices. This briefing focuses on whole school issues and is in addition to Refresher Training for Designated Leads.

Headteachers who are also Designated Safeguarding Leads should also attend statutory refresher training for this role.

It is a statutory requirement that the Designated Safeguarding Lead must refresh their training at least every two years.

Cost: There is up to one free places each year to maintained schools and most academies and those with a Safeguarding Service Level Agreement.  Additional places cost £50 per delegate
An administration charge will apply to none attendees
All costs are subject to VAT

Registration will begin at 08:15 and the briefing will start promptly at 9.00

One place is free annually to all Liverpool Schools who receive the universal offer and to schools that have a safeguarding service level agreement. Additional places can be purchased at £50 each if a school is part of the universal offer or has an SLA.
