Course Information

This training course introduces delegates to skills that will increase confidence in their ability to cope with the many pressures and adversities they encounter in schools and in personal lives.
Perceptions of mental health and stress
Neuro Linguistic Programming: beliefs and limiting beliefs; Outcome thinking – setting targets; Techniques to manage stress
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy: How to plan effective coping mechanisms
Lifestyle factors
Emotional resilience
How all staff members can help to create supportive working environments
Importance of good communication; Spotting signs and symptoms or poor mental health in colleagues
Health and Safety Executive’s Management Standards and use of stress risk assessments
Signposting information to further sources of support
The different topics throughout the day will provide school staff with a range of options to help improve their own mental health and wellbeing, access support and help to create a supportive working environment.
