A Level Mathematics Network

Course Information
This network is designed to address the issues arising from teaching mathematics to A Level and give teachers the opportunity to share best practice and expertise.

Why attend?
• These termly meetings will develop effective pedagogy and practice in preparation for the introduction of the new A-levels in mathematics and further mathematics
• This group is currently developing pedagogical practice and assessment materials for AS- and A-level mathematics in the light of the introduction of the new GCSE specifications (Sept 2017) and the increased demand

What will it cover?
• A Level curriculum design and pedagogy
• Data analysis
• Approaches to examinations in A Level mathematics
• Use of technology in mathematics
• Development of skills in problem solving and reasoning, modelling and interpretation of real-life situations mathematically, and use of large data sets

Who should attend?
Teachers, Support Staff/Teaching Assistants, Subject Leaders

Laptop or data stick
