Introduction to Mindfulness in Schools

This training will equip participants with an understanding of mindfulness and provide practical experience

This introduction to Mindfulness will be delivered over two sessions: The first session will focus on personal mindfulness development, the second session will look at ways in which mindfulness can be developed in your school.

Why attend?

• Better mental health including less distress, depression and anxiety
• Greater wellbeing, including life satisfaction, self-confidence, self-efficacy and sense of personal growth

• Increased cognitive performance, including the ability to pay attention and focus, make decisions and respond to challenges.

What will it cover?
The aim of the training is to:
• Equip participants with an understanding of mindfulness
• Become familiar with research and the evidence-base pertaining to mindfulness
• Provide practical experience of various mindfulness practices

Early Years Practitioners, Subject Leaders, Headteachers, NQTs, Safeguard
