Diversity and Race Equality

Course Overview
This CPD session is designed to enable staff to raise awareness, increase knowledge and understanding, review current practice and agree a plan for action.

Why attend?
In light of many recent world events, and ongoing conversations both locally and nationally, schools may welcome the opportunity to check, refine and update their diversity, race equality practice and policies.

What will it cover?
The session will cover

• The Liverpool Picture – data, context, supporting the inclusive environment
• Prevention is better than cure: identifying and preventing racist incidents
• Exploring parent, carer and pupil viewpoints

Teachers, Senior leads, inclusion leads, Learning Mentors

2 funded places for Liverpool Authority maintained primary schools
2 places for schools who subscribe to the EMTAS "Developing Excellence in EAL Practice and Pedagogy" SLA
£50 for other delegates.
