Attendance briefing to update Designated Attendance Leads (DALs) and attendance staff about key attendance information. The requirements of DFE guidance “Working together to improve school attendance” will be revisited and good practice shared
Why Attend?
Attendance like safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, these sessions will provide you with advice and guidance on how to improve attendance, reduce PA and support families for the best outcomes for their children. This is a perfect opportunity to network, share ideas discuss good practice. There will also be time for questions and discussion.
What will it cover?
How to :
- Develop and maintain a whole school culture that promotes the benefits of high attendance
- Have effective day to day processes in place
- Regularly analyse attendance and absence data to identify pupils or cohorts that require support with their attendance and put effective strategies in place.
- Share information and work collaboratively with other schools in the area, local authorities and other partners when absence is at risk of becoming persistent or severe

Cost:
One free place to Liverpool Authority Schools entitled to the Universal Offer. £100 for additional places and all other schools. All costs are subject to VAT.
