Primary Design and Technology: Cooking and Nutrition

Course Overview
We will explore progression through the knowledge, skills and techniques needed to teach all aspects of cooking and nutrition to successfully implement the National Curriculum. We will explore how to use the principles of healthy eating to prepare, cook and taste dishes with a focus on savoury food with primary aged children. We will look in-depth at the Cooking and Nutrition curriculum and ways to implement this effectively whilst making cross-curricular links. You will leave feeling inspired and with an increased level of confidence to go back to your school, train your staff and get your children engaged and passionate about cooking encouraging a whole school approach to food and nutrition.
