Philosophy for Children (P4C) improves teaching and learning for the lasting benefit of individuals, schools, colleges and communities, building higher order thinking, questioning, speaking and listening skills. Philosophy for Children/Colleges/Communities (P4C) is a powerful methodology for developing thinking skills and exploring challenging subject matter. It also improves self-esteem, self-confidence and emotional literacy and crates a more collaborative learning environment, empowering children and young people to take control of their own learning.
This P4C Foundation Course will enable you to start practising P4C with your students:
- Encourage philosophical questioning and dialogue
- Understand how to facilitate a P4C enquiry
- Identify resources to stimulate rich discussions among your students

The course is designed for all who want to practice P4C in an educational setting. Completion of the course and facilitating 6 P4C sessions in your classroom will qualify you for a P4C Initial Practitioner certificate.
