Our EYRQM has been developed to support practitioners in PVI settings to promote positive attitudes towards reading, making it a pleasure to share and enjoy books and to support our youngest children to become confident lifelong readers.
A practitioner from your setting will be supported in becoming an advocate for reading through a programme of four half day training sessions.
For our youngest children, reading is embedded in everything that we do each day, through routines, stories and everyday experiences. By supporting colleagues and families to recognise this, we can ensure children’s early experiences of reading are positive, allowing them to develop a love for reading whilst they play, learn and discover the world around them.
Assessment covers three key themes, Leadership and Management, Workforce and Development and Reading Promotion/ Events and Community involvement. Following an assessment visit, successful settings can be accredited with a bronze, silver or gold award.
