Basic Skills Quality Mark

A strategic management tool to support a whole school approach to literacy and numeracy. 

This national kite mark recognises a school’s commitment to the on-going development of pupils’ literacy and numeracy skills and provides valuable evidence of impact for OfSTED. 

A team of accredited Basic Skills Quality Mark assessors from School Improvement Liverpool is available to guide your school or Early Years setting through the process and undertake an initial award or re-assessment.

Over 100 Liverpool schools and Early Years settings , many rated as Outstanding by Ofsted, currently hold the Basic Skills Quality Mark which provides invaluable support for self-review and improvement.

The award lasts for 3 years and the logo can be used on all school documentation.

Cost

Initial cost is £500 for 3 years. A renewal costs £300.
